Liberals and conservatives have both failed the people.
in Politics

Liberals are in my opinion wrong to murder unborn people, and conservatives believe in torture. Liberals have abused the term racist so much, and conservatives have illegal wars. Liberals have black lives matter, and SOME conservatives have white lives matter. What we need is a balanced centrist government that listens to the people, and enforces the rule of law.

  • What the US government needs is a larger range of different opinions. Not everyone fits perfectly into liberal or conservative, you for example. The best way for this would be more political parties, e.g. a libertarian party, a socialist party, a classical liberalist party, etc. If there are more parties, then people have more choice, and can choose a party they (almost) wholeheartedly agree with.

  • The notion known as term limits, is a way to address things?

The thing is they HAVE a Libertarian and Socialist party, but most will follow the Republican and Democratic Party because voting third party is a waste of a vote...

The Republicans and Dems are basically a monopoly when it comes to political parties, and unless they both embarrass themselves so badly that people leave, I don't think any third party will overtake one of them (or both of them)

  • @Polaris95 I agree. I am a centrist, and would love to see a viable centrist party.

  • @YeshuaBought

What if there was a centrist party that disagreed with you on everything?  For example, your pro life and anti death penalty.  What if the centrist party took some ideas from both sides but was pro choice and pro death penalty?  Now you don't agree with them on anything.  I think we should abolish the 2 party system and change our government so presidents get portions of terms where their party rules and from there, people could decide how things are going from the results of how the parties function.

For example, if the democrats get 45% of the vote, the republicans get 45% of the vote, and the libertarians get 10% of the vote, then the democrats have 45% of a term to themselves, the republicans have 45% of a term to themselves and the libertarians get 10% of a term.  This would also cause the 2 big parties to break up and from there, we get like 100 different parties where there would be one party that you agree with on virtually everything and they each would have their tiny time to rule the country on the basis of how popular they are.
